The PI was the moderator for the Girls Research Club (GRC) webinar planned in conjunction with the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria Osun State Chapter, in commemoration of international women’s day 2023, titled: “when they see us: improving your visibility and research connections as a female researcher.”
The webinar held on zoom on the 11th of March 2023 at 7.00 pm. There were 100 participants on the platform and the interactive session engendered discussion around tips to encourage visibility and collaboration among female researchers. Other speakers were: the institutional mentor, Prof Morenike Ukpong, Prof Charles Ukeje, and Prof Akinyemi Akanni.
The PI is the convener of this club which is geared towards creating a learning collaborative for female researchers to build research capacity and improve the quality of research that they produce.
