Research Methodology Seminar on the Gaps in Sexual Harassment Research in Africa.

Participants included researchers in academia from several institutions within and outside Nigeria.

This was a webinar organised by the CARTA Shine project in collaboration with the Girlz Research Club and the Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria Osun state Chapter.

Dr Fehintola shared a report on the state of research on sexual harassment in higher education settings in Nigeria. Prof Harrison spoke on the gaps in sexual harassment research in Africa and Prof Ukpong discussed the ethics and methods for conducting sexual harassment research.


Participants included researchers in academia from several institutions within and outside Nigeria. The webinar had over 45 participants. Participants agreed on the need for more studies on the concept of sexual harassment within higher educational settings, especially around contentious issues like dressing and sexual violence.
